AfrikaBurn is the kind of experience that truly gives meaning to the expression ‘a picture tells a thousand words’. Here you’re able to browse photos and videos from previous years to get an idea of the colourful, vibrant and extraordinary creativity that grows each year in Tankwa Town.

UPDATE: we’re – very – happy to announce that our new-format Gallery is now rolling out, with our 2018 and 2019 galleries being updated first. All other years will follow soon – and as you’ll see, our team’s managed to crack the holy grail of photos being tagged and categorised, so you’re able to search for specifics such as landscapes, art, camps and mutant vehicles.

Thanks for your patience, enjoy the shots!

Notice to media and publishers:

AfrikaBurn’s not a media-hungry event or community, so our organisation does not supply hi-res images directly to print titles, or online publications, blogs or sites. If you require photos please visit our galleries, view the images, and use the details provided on each respective photographer’s section to contact them directly and negotiate image use. This way, the photographers in our community get the credit they deserve, and the opportunity to control the use of their shots.

All images remain the property of the photographer and AfrikaBurn, and are not royalty-free: you must obtain written permission to make use of them.
